About Ekaa hand made bags from Pehchaan

Pehchaan  is a modest endeavor  to bring visible change in lives of women struggling for a minimum existence by educating, empowering and emancipating them. It is a platform of the woman, by the woman ,for the woman to help them rediscover their real identity ( *PEHCHAAN ) and attain a respectable life for themselves, their families and become a valuable contributor to the progress of our nation.
 

GENESIS : The Story Behind 
 

Lock down the world over brought untold hardships in everybody's life. Many daily wager women and moderately employed were rendered jobless and faced unimaginable crisis in their lives ."What could be done _to keep fire in their kitchen _burning ? was the question that continuously haunted and answer was the *PEHCHAAN ; a platform that could harness their innate talent ,train them in their natural skills and create things that would add to  their family budget and sustain them.
 

*WHAT DO WE DO? 

Your old jeans, shirts, sarees, bedsheets may be the stuff to be discarded for you. However, for us they are yarn with which we weave our dreams and the new products created  are the concrete manifestation  of those dreams. Old jeans/pants are transformed into trendy tote bags, shirt of master of the house is reshaped as kitchen apron that adores Lady of the house. Similarly other used stuff is molded into wall hangings, mats ,rugs, organizers, vision boards. Ideas are endless as our dreams are limitless.
